Snow day!
Mommy had a snow day today and decided to keep James home for a fun-filled day of lazing around in PJ's and a long walk with the sled. It was quite the adventure and we should have taken more pictures of the actual "trail." There was a lot of picking James up in the sled and lifting him over little streams and fallen trees. Definitely a workout mama needed! If you look carefully, you'll see he's wearing ziploc bags inside of his shoes - we ordered him boots that are in the mail (taking advantage of those January sales). So, hopefully that is insurance that this is the last snowstorm of the season!

Super cute! Unfortunately we both had to work today, so we couldn't take the kids out in the snow. I'm sure there'll still be some this weekend to take advantage of.
ReplyDeleteJames' ziplock bags reminded me of when Joe wore plastic grocery bags over his shoes when he dug us out of snowmageddon part 1 last Winter. After that, I ordered him boots and they got here in time for snowmageddon II. But at least it wasn't a huge gamble since I knew his feet wouldn't grow! I decided not to buy the twins' new snowsuits this year, and as a result they wore capri-length snowsuits today. Thank goodness their boots are tall!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Abbe! Hope you can enjoy it this weekend before it melts! Katie, that's so funny about Joe and the plastic bags! Whatever works, right? I'm hoping the boots I ordered will get more use because they just go over the shoes so he can wear them in the rain and mud, too. I bought James the 2T snowsuit this year thinking it would be big this year and fit next year...but the way he's growing I think he might be in 3T next year. I finally have appreciation for all those hand-me-downs from my sister that I wore!
